In this course, students are introduced to drawing from direct observation with pencil and charcoal media. Through gesture, line, and value drawing, students learn how to master the technical skills to accurately describe simple and complex forms in an organized composition. This beginning-level drawing course is a pre-requisite for many advanced studio art courses and for students who plan to transfer to another college or university.
