In this course, students will gain hands-on experience in residential remodeling. Key aspects of light frame construction will be explored, including structural layout, demolition, rebuilding, and finishing techniques. Emphasis is placed on job planning, cost estimation, and safety protocols in compliance with Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) regulations. Through real-world applications, students will develop the skills needed to assess existing structures, plan remodeling projects, and execute renovations effectively and safely.
