In this literature course, students will read, discuss, and write about a variety of William Shakespeare's plays and poems. Students will also be introduced to applicable literary terminology and to the literary and historical background of Shakespeare's life and work. By the end of the course, students will have developed a variety of employable skills such as critical reading, critical thinking, critical writing, cultural awareness, appreciation of beauty, and decision-making.
