In this course, students will be introduced to the major concepts in the field of social psychology, typically defined as the way in which our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are influenced by the presence of others. As each major topic within social psychology is reviewed, students will focus on its application to their own lives as well as to political and historical events throughout the world. Students will be able to use this knowledge to understand social relationships at both the local and global level. The title of this course was previously Social Psychology and Global Applications.
