In this course, students will apply the principles of science and piping systems for pipe trades workers. Through teaching demonstrations, experiments and discussions, science principles will be applied to all portions of the pipefitting trade. These demonstrations will include heat/pressure effects on liquids and gases (fluid dynamics), metallic and nonmetallic piping materials, chemical reactions, and mechanics. Students will learn to apply scientific concepts to piping obstacles in all aspects of the piping trades. The title of this course was previously Related Science. Limited to United Association program participants. Level I Prerequisite: Academic Reading and Writing Levels of 6
