WCC's Construction Technology Associate of Science (AAS) degree program is designed
to put you on a fast-track toward your career. You'll earn two certificates on your way to the AAS degree, allowing you to stack
credentials and advance your career, even before you graduate:

trades.
- To take the Michigan State Builder's License Exam with confidence.

What You’ll Learn in Construction Technology at WCC
We design courses in partnership with local industry experts to teach on-the-job skills
that can be applied to residential and industrial buildings:
- Framing: Techniques, tools and practices for walls, windows, doors and more.
- Finishing: Techniques, tools and practices for hands-on installation for drywall, flooring,
roofing and more.
- Concrete & Masonry: Layout techniques and material applications for foundations, slabs, brick, block
and stone.
- Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanicals: Material recognition, energy transmission, water supply, sewage systems, and industry
best practices.
- Job site safety: A deep understanding of safe work practices for power tools, equipment and site
safety. Graduates earn their Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)-30
hour card.
- Construction production: How to estimate materials, schedule and plan projects, and ensure quality control
for materials and builds.
